In 2014, Alejandro Gómez Sigala, alongside his wife, Letizia Mangione, and his son, Alejandro Alberto, purchase Bodegas Zifar. Encouraged by the experience obtained in their other property Bodega Pago de Cirsus, they take on an interesting challenge in the lands of Ribera de Duero, with the objective of developing elegant and innovative wines. In 2018, the family grows when they acquire Bodegas Irache, located in Navarra like Cirsus.

Jean Marc Sauboua: Natural enologist from Bourdeaux (France), has globalized his style of creating wines by working in diverse countries such as France, Italy, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentina, South Africa, and Moldavia. Today, he is one the most valued enologists in the world.

The winemaking department in Bodegas Zifar is composed by Jean Marc and Bequer Prieto, Technical Director at Zifar, whom together guarantee structure, quality and peculiar personality in each of our wines.

Juan Antonio Leza: An engineer with a degree in oenology, he is a specialist in strategy and a cross-disciplinary vision of agriculture. His career path has given him over 18 years of experience as technical consultant and manager, Juan is responsible of the uniqueness and peculiarities that make our vines so special.
